Manage Users

The Manage Users page allows the owner and admins of an organization to do manage the organization’s users. They can disable unwanted user accounts (e.g. if you have administrative accounts that don’t represent an actual person). The owner can furthermore designate admins to help them manage the system or even transfer the owner role to someone else (to begin with, the first user to log in becomes the owner). Finally the default time off approver can be set from here.

Disable Unwanted User Accounts

To disable a user, click the gear on the right-hand side of their entry and select ‘Disable user’ from the dropdown. Once they are disabled they can not log in and will not appear anywhere else in the system (they are for all intents and purposes ‘disabled’). If a user is an admin, you need to remove their admin rights first before you can disable them.

Re-enable a Disabled User Account

To re-enable a user, click the gear on the right-hand side of their entry and select ‘Re-enable user’ from the dropdown.

Designate an Admin

Note that admins are a Premium feature. To designate someone as an admin, click the gear on the right-hand side of their entry and select ‘Make admin’ from the dropdown menu.

Remove an Admin

To strip someone of their admin rights, click the gear on the right-hand side of their entry and select ‘Remove admin’ from the dropdown menu.

Transfer Ownership

Only the current owner of the organization can choose to transfer it to someone else. To transfer ownership to someone, click the gear on the right-hand side of their entry and select ‘Transfer ownership’ from the dropdown. You will then be downgraded to an admin yourself (if desired, you can furhtermore remove your admin rights by doing as as described above).

Set Default Time Off Approver

The default time off approver is the one who approves time off for anyone by default. On the free tier it is the only approver - on Premium indivdual approvers can be specified, either in groups (via teams) or individually.

To set someone as the default time off aprover, click the gear on the right-hand side of their entry and select ‘Make default time off approver’ from the dropdown menu. (The default time off approver can also be changed by changing the time off approver for the default team on the Teams page).
