Overtime and compensatory leave

Hrvey has two new features: Overtime tracking and compensatory leave (also known in the UK as TOIL, Time Off in Lieu). What this means is that Hrvey can now track when people are working outside their normal work schedule, and furthermore this extra time can automatically be added to a leave allowance.

There’s a full guide on how to set this up over in our knowledge base but in short, you create a leave type called e.g. Compensatory Time with an allowance, and a second one called e.g. Overtime, check the overtime flag (so our system knows that it should only count outside the normal work schedule) and set it up to add to the Compensatory Time allowance. And that’s it - now all approved requests for Overtime will automatically add the same amount of days to the Compensatory Time allowance.
